The first Oil Palm FFB Harvest Festival in Rangareddy District, Telangana, was successfully conducted at the field of Sri Bhujanga Reddy in Vemulanarva Village, Keshampet Mandal. The event marks a significant milestone in the development of oil palm cultivation and the beginning of commercial Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) harvesting in the district.
The plantation covers approximately 6.33 acres with 361 oil palm plants, representing the growing adoption of oil palm cultivation among farmers in the region.
A Milestone for Oil Palm Development in Rangareddy
The harvest ceremony was attended by Shadnagar MLA Sri Veerlapalli Shankar, Director of Horticulture Smt. Yasmin Basha IAS, DHSO, DAO and other district officials, along with horticulture department staff.
Representing Value Oil and Gas Services Pvt. Ltd., CEO/Director Sri Ramakrishna Babu and the company team participated in the programme. Village Sarpanches and oil palm farmers from the Shadnagar Revenue Division were also present.
The gathering highlighted the importance of oil palm cultivation and the opportunities it can create for farmers as plantations enter the commercial harvesting stage.
