Mega Plantation Drive and Awareness Meet Held in Pinnelli Village

On June 30, 2025, a significant milestone in agricultural development was marked with a mega oil palm plantation drive in Pinnelli village, Machavaram Mandal, Palnadu district. As part of this large-scale initiative, oil palm plantations were established across 250 acres spanning six Mandals, underscoring a growing regional commitment to boosting oil palm cultivation as a sustainable and economically viable crop.

To further enhance the impact of the initiative, an informative awareness meeting was organized, drawing the participation of various dignitaries, government officials, agricultural experts, and local farmers. The meeting served as a platform to educate farmers about the long-term benefits of oil palm cultivation, its economic potential, and the government’s support mechanisms for its expansion.

Among the key figures in attendance was the Hon’ble MLA of Gurajala, Shri Yarapathineni Srinivasa Rao, who acknowledged the vital role of oil palm in achieving self-sufficiency in edible oil production and expressed his support for ongoing and future efforts in the sector. The event also featured leadership from the private sector, including Sri Ramakrishna Babu Paladugu, CEO & Director of Value Oil and Gas Services Pvt. Ltd., and Sri RamaMohana Rao, Vice President of the organization, both of whom reiterated their company’s commitment to partnering with farmers and government bodies to scale up oil palm cultivation in the region.

The gathering included a broad spectrum of stakeholders such as government officials, Mandal-level party leaders, horticulture and agriculture officers from Machavaram Mandal, Village Horticulture Assistants (VHAs), Village Agricultural Assistants (VAAs), Area Manager, Field Officers, and enthusiastic local farmers. Their collective presence and active involvement highlighted a unified front working toward the common goal of agricultural progress and economic upliftment.

This collaborative initiative not only promotes sustainable agricultural practices but also serves as a model for public-private partnership in the development of vital crop sectors. The plantation drive and awareness campaign together symbolize a proactive step toward transforming Palnadu district into a key hub for oil palm cultivation in Andhra Pradesh.
